economic outlook digging our way out of covid 19

July has been the first month since the Covid-19 outbreak that we have not made any major downward revisions to our forecasts for the major regions - USA, China and Europe.

This is the first month since the Covid-19 outbreak that we have not made any major downward revisions to our forecasts for the major regions - USA, China and Europe. We are cautiously optimistic that this is an early sign that the global economy has reached bottom, with recovery ahead.

In this webinar we present our outlook while addressing the most frequently asked questions from our subscribers. Those questions have been primarily Covid-19 related, ranging from what is the near-term outlook and effect of a second wave, what would post-Covid-19 norm look like, to what are the consequences of the unprecedented Covid-19 stimulus?

We also examine other, “non-Covid-19” questions, such as what will happen to the US-China trade deal, and what different US election results would mean for our forecast.

Agenda

  • Key phases of the Covid-19 downturn and recovery
  • Policies and risks to our outlook
  • Prospects for the dollar and oil
