Jack Wales

​Jack joined CRU's consulting team in April 2023 as a Research Analyst based in London.

After graduating from the University of Plymouth with a BSc (First-Class) in Geology with Ocean Science, Jack went on to complete an MSc (Distinction) in Metals and Energy Finance at Imperial College London. Jack's master's thesis was centred around the technical and financial evaluation of an early-stage gold mining project situated in the DRC, incorporating Monte-Carlo and real option valuation techniques, as well as a scenario analysis considering the implementation of a renewable power source.

Following his master's, Jack undertook a commodities and mining equity research internship with Panmure Gordon, analysing a broad range of commodities focusing on early-stage mineral resource projects.
