Brian Peng joined CRU in mid 2018 as a cost analyst in the Lead/Zinc team, focusing on the China lead/zinc market, as well as copper and nickel.
Before that, Peng had worked as market analyst in Beijing General Research Institute of Mining & Metallurgy (BGRIMM) for near three years, covering copper, lead, zinc metals. Peng mainly contributed to the China copper/zinc mine and smelter databases and cost analysis, as well as related monthly and quarterly reports, and independently conducted multiple research projects from oversea copper mining to processing technical updating to end-user consumption. Prior to that, Peng also have 2 years' research experience in General Research Institute of Nonferrous Metals (GRINM), covering rare earth functional material. Peng had participated in three national science research projects and successfully synthesized new rare-earth materials & processes and patents.
Brian Peng graduated from General Research Institute of Nonferrous Metals, Beijing, with an MA degree in Nonferrous Metallurgy in 2013. He also hold a BA degree in Metallurgy Engineering from Kunming University of Science and Technology, China.
