Piers Montgomery

Piers Montgomery joined CRU in January 2022 and is responsible for Base Metals Supply in the Australasia region, providing market intelligence on mine supply, trade flows and project development.

Piers has 20+ years of experience across natural resources including roles in sales and marketing and most recently in analysis and strategy. Prior to joining CRU Piers worked for Anglo American Marketing in their Singapore commercial strategy team and for Societe Generale in both Sydney and London as part of their commodity derivatives desk. Piers has a degree in Economic History from Edinburgh University and a degree in Predictive Analytics for Business from Udacity. He is based in the Sydney office.
