James joined the Consulting division in Feb 2021, becoming a full-time Research Analyst in Sept 2021.
Since joining CRU, James has worked on a variety of multi-commodity projects, with a focus on circular economy analysis, fertilizer market studies, and steel project financing.
Based in CRU's London office, he has obtained first-class degrees in BSc Engineering Geology and Geotechnics and MSc Minerals Processing, along with achieving the Minerals Processing scholarship, both from the University of Exeter/Camborne School of Mines. He completed his master's thesis on the optimisation of antimony processing and economic recovery as a part of the Horizon 2020 project (a Europe 2020 flagship initiative aimed at securing Europe's global competitiveness), working in Bosnia and Herzegovina as a part of this. To expand on this, James continued to work on this as a Research Assistant at the university to progress this study, with the aim of achieving the economical recovery of critical material resources in Serbia.
