Juliana Guarana is the Editor of the Global Steel Trade Service and is based in CRU's Sydney office.
She is an Economist with 20 years’ experience in macroeconomic and commodity analysis gained across the energy, steel and public sectors.
Having been Brazil Steel Institute Economics Manager for seven years, Juliana coordinated a variety of studies and was responsible for Brazil's official steel figures and projections. She was a member of the World Steel Association's Economics and Forecasting Committees and worked on several studies in partnership with this organisation.
Prior to joining CRU, Juliana also worked at the NSW Treasury, at Ampol (an Australian oil and gas company), and as a consultant, including some time as a Senior Associate Consultant at CRU's Steel Consulting Team.
Juliana holds a Bachelor of Economics from Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro and a Master of Public Administration from Fundação Getulio Vargas.
